PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident

Biography

Grace Conroy is currently a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at the University of Chicago Medicine. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio but relocated to Indianapolis, IN where she earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy at Butler University. Throughout pharmacy school, she worked in several jobs including an inpatient intern, a community pharmacy intern, and a Lexicomp intern. Additionally, she took advantage of community outreach clinics and research opportunities with local hospitals. Currently, her pharmaceutical areas of interests are in pediatrics, emergency medicine, and cardiology. She is hopeful that through her experiences this year at UChicago Medicine, that she will be able to develop her skills as a pharmacist and leader. In her free time, Grace enjoys attending hot Pilates classes and going to outdoor concerts with friends.

Value of the UChicago Program

The University of Chicago Pharmacy Practice Residency has a very unique balance of challenging yet supportive learning opportunities that allow residents to excel. The exposure residents experience to complex and rare medical conditions early on in the year, is incomparable. As a resident I feel that the innovative environment created at UChicago Medicine allows me to achieve more and grow as an individual practitioner. Not to mention the incredible support and mentoring provided by preceptors, helps residents take a great first step into their pharmacy career.
